Musical Responses at Tate Modern

On the evening of 1st February there is a musical event happening at Tate Modern in London. This event is one of the ‘Musical Responses’ series and is to accompany the ‘Red Star Over Russia’ exhibition which is currently running until 18th February. The exhibition is to mark the centenary of the October revolution which transformed the Russian Empire into the Soviet Union.

The evening will feature three students from The Royal College of Music each performing a piece of Russian music. Veniamin Zhukov will perform Scriabins Fantasy in B minor, op 28., Rustam Khanmurzin will perform Prokofevs Visions Fugitives (1915-17) and I will perform Mussorgskys Pictures at an Exhibition.
